... Alafair Burke is amazing! She started out good and just gets better every time out. She is one of those authors that you want to check on to be sure they are at work on the next one. Angels Tip is a good book and if it's your first Alifair I assure you you'll be looking for the rest of them!

Summary: Enjoyed this story very much.
... I really enjoyed this story. The author pulls the reader into the action immediately and gives a little time to get to know the victims. So many murder mysteries like to make it seem the victim deserved their fate, but in this book the victims are made more human. My only complaint was that the main character had been in her job only a week, but her relationships with coworkers and superiors were written as if she'd been there quite a while. She was way too familiar with everything and seemingly nearly infallible!

The book is kind of pricey (but then so are most computer-related books.. well, so are most books, actually) but if you are a frequent user of Excel who uses it for a variety of tasks, this is a good book to have. I think it is good for browsing; yes you can look for specific tips and tricks but I find it interesting just to read through the book to see what sort of shortcuts and illuminations the author has, and to think about whether or not it is something I might be able to utilize.
